I recently made some wine for an outfit from Denver Colorado called Cru Vin Dogs. Mary Snellgrove is the company president, and her husband Jay is an artist who represents the best of dogs with fine artworks on wine labels.
The little Blue Heeler Cattle Dog in the photo is their next subject, and he was just too cute for the Snellgroves to resist that they have adopted him into their own family, and called him "Binder". His image will adorn the label of the wine I have made for them.
Cru Vin Dogs have wine made for them which they then label and sell. The money made is then distributed amongst several animal charities, such as Canine Companions for Independence, The Morris Animal Foundation, and The Alie Foundation
that places bloodhounds with law enforcement agencies and educates children and adults about the dangers of child abduction.
From their website, their mission declares that "Cru Vin Dogs isn’t your ordinary wine company. They exist to combine their passions – friendship, wine, art and our love of dogs – into a wine brand that has a purpose. Wine that gives back. Wine that makes a difference.
A very worthy cause that I am more than happy to be a part of.
Coincidentally, my good friend Alistair has a Hungarian Vizsla that he has called "Rolf"!
